OK, inner border is on...

It just had to be scrappy!  I had some strips in the 1 1/4 inch binding bin.  So they became the border.
I really have no clue after this...I still want the light and airy look, so I am still thinking!!!

Have a great day, everyone!!

I don't know, either. I try to envision different things and nothing is clicking. Have you thought of a light border with a simple applique design to tie in the flowers, and then maybe a scrappy binding? (Though it sounds like too much work to me.) : )

Scrappy always gets my vote! Sometimes I have to just let a project sit for a bit and wait for inspiration to strike. You've already got a winner with this one!

The scrappy first border works well. Do you have lots of strips or pieces of light background pieces that you could sew together like the dark strips you showed in a previous post? You could sew those together the same style for the border.

As a fan of applique, I would love to see an appliqued vine with flowers (repeated from the quilt center) on a light background, finished with a frame of scrappy binding. Applique doesn't have to fill the entire border; 2 corners appliqued with vine & flowers or a few flowers scattered about, should work.

Love that scrappy inner border! What about scrappy "lights" for the outer border?

Perfect, but then I knew it would be.

It's looking great! You always pull your scrappy creations together as if you had a master plan to begin with, and they always turn out beautiful!

That's a great choice for a border!

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
