Quilted!!

Many years ago, I made this applique quilt top, inspired by a picture in a magazine.  I tried to draw out each flower as they looked, and somehow this quilt came into being. It is now quilted!!!
I am so tickled that is in the almost finished catagory! It is a very early quilt for me...so I am so glad that is is nearly completion.  Do you have any like that, quilts I mean, that are not perfect, but represent a period in your life?  I say, drag 'em out and get 'em done!!

Paulette!  You were chosen by random number to win the house quilt kit from last post...I will send you an e-mail and post it off to you!!

Thank you, each one of you, for your comments.  I wish I had a ton of kits to give to each one of you...so stay tuned!  I am going through stuff, and will be giving away some more things soon!!

Have a great day, everyone!!

Julie

You go girl!

How did you quilt it? We can't see that part. I bet you had many peaceful hours appliqueing this top,
so even if it isn't perfect I hope you have good memories of time spent making the quilt. 3 cheers for another finish!

Happy Sewing

Good job on the finish, Julie!
So, if I drag 'em out, will you get 'em done? : )

Cute quilt Julie! Doesn't it feel great to get a quilt done that has been hanging around for way too long? I've definitely got a few of those that I need to drag out and finish up :*)

Yes, I've got a few that need finishing up too. I think your trick of focussing on one project would work, but it's so hard! I love to cut new projects out!

Ok Julie,
I think I figured out what you were talking about! I wasn't checking the email comments to box. Now try it!

Just thought I would tell you that you have inspired me Julie. Your post a while back on feeling frazzled at so many unfinished projects was just so me, that I decided to join you and finish a few things. So, I have quitled a quilt and finished 3 lap quilts for charity & one for Aussie Heros. Tomorrow's job is to finish altering a skirt which has been sitting around (hang my head in shame) for about 9 months.
Thank you for your inspiration. It feels good to just get them out of my cupboard! And congrats on putting your head down and finishing off a few things too. Hugs. Dasha

What a fun and gorgeous flower quilt. It doesn't look anything like your current projects.(which I love!)

I agree it is good to get those old/early projects out of mothballs and get them completed!!!! It really shows how much we have changed or grown with our tastes and styles when we look back on that early work!!!!

Nice quilt finish- very pretty and it does feel great to have another finish, doesn't it?! And, congrats to Paulette on her win. Very generous of you, Kathy - and "Just because it was a Wednesday" is a very nice reason :).

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
