Do you know that pesky Joann?

Hi friends! Do you know Joann? Or Joann's? She enticed me into her fabric store for just a tiny piece of fabric, just a little bit I needed...and then I went by the yarn section! I am a quilter...QUILTER, remember! But I used to crochet...and the yarn that Joann the temptress had out there just pulled me in. I found this yarn above, a wonderful blend of wool and of all things Soy fibers! It is incredibly soft, and sumptuous and soft, did I mention how soft it is? ...and the skein had the audacity to jump in my cart and demand to be taken home! The nerve...

Seriously, isn't it pretty? And not expensive at all, I didn't think. A scarf for my precious new DIL in the works.

That Joann...really is a pretty nice lady! By the way, I forgot the fabric I was after in the first place.

I love when things jump in my cart -- because, really, I'm just not to blame! It does look lovely.

I visited our friend JoAnn yesterday (she says "hi")! Good thing I was never near the yarn. Is that a self-striping yarn? It looks pretty yummy.

Many, many years ago, JoAnn's provided me with my first job. Not great pay and I spent too much of it in the store. But I never had a day when I didn't want to go to work. I always enjoyed being around all the fabric.
Those yarns are tempting. There are so many new kinds on the market and such luscious colors. I am resisting though.

Yes, JoAnn can be an evil temptress. When I make my yearly visit (thankfully, no store within 350 miles), the cart is usually heaped.

The scarf is beautiful.

Joann must be related to this Hancock down the road that keeps getting me in trouble!

I can go into JoAnn's and never come out with what was on my list. So glad others are the same.
Love your crochet and the scrapy quilting you've done.

LOVE the progress on your dil's scarf. Have I said this before? She's a lucky young lady to have you for a mil! ;-)

Crocheted hugs for you!

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
